I was commissioned by Mechademia, an annual forum for Anime, Manga, and Fan art, to design and illustrate their banner for the Mechademia 2026 Conference, held at the National University of Singapore in May 2026.
It was the first time the conference was held outside of their homebase, Japan.
I decided to design the banner with elements of Singapore. The otter is a very famous animal associated with Singapore, and South East Asia as a region prides itself with food as a huge part of their identity.
